Interpreting before a court requires strict neutrality from the interpreter. The interpreter is impartial and conveys both parties’ messages in their entirety and original form without any stylistic improvement.
As an interpreter for Finnish I am sworn for interpretation before the courts and for the police and strictly sworn to secrecy as well as to non-disclosure of documents.
